Putting Alffy Rev on a stage that never existed — Virtual BYGE 2021
Alffy Rev's team shot the performance against a green screen in Bali. We put it on BYGE 2021's virtual stage with Aximmetry and Unreal Engine — then broadcast three weeks of esports out of the same venue.
Virtual (Nexworld°)
The headliner never stood on the stage.
Alffy Rev and his team shot the whole performance in Bali, multi-camera, in front of a green screen, and sent us the footage. The stage he appeared on was built in Unreal Engine. We brought the two together in Aximmetry, and the result opened three weeks of esports inside a venue that existed only in a browser.
In November 2021 PT Synnex Metrodata Indonesia could not book a hall, so it built one: Nexworld°, a 3D space of its own making. Fourteen brands, from Acer, Asus, Dell and HP to Razer, kept a stand there from 20 November to 12 December, and visitors walked between them.
Mfalme Studio's part
The division of labour was simple. Alffy Rev's team shot the performance; we put it on the stage. From there we produced the esports broadcast: three weeks of Valorant and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang out of the same venue, including open qualifiers that put amateur teams against BOOM Esports and Alter Ego, and a Mobile Legends invitational for professional women's rosters.
Not one piece of press coverage mentions the performance. The story exists only in our footage, and telling it here is the only way it gets told at all.
