One best-of-three. On one side, Bigetron Alpha. On the other, the students who had won the Rookie Tournament four months earlier.
Battle of H3RO is Tri's showmatch format: the pros against the programme's rookie champions. The 2024 edition put Bigetron Alpha against Gunadarma Esports on Sunday 11 February 2024 at 19:00 WIB, played online and carried live on both the Tri Indonesia and Bigetron TV YouTube channels. The idea dates back to the first Battle of H3RO in November 2022, and in 2024 it opened the year's H3RO Esports 5.0 calendar alongside the Rookie Tournament and the Masterclass.
One broadcast, two channels
Mfalme Studio produced the virtual broadcast. A showmatch has no group stage to fill time with, so the whole evening rests on presentation: the walk-on, the caster desk, the match itself, and a stage that gives a rookie team the same arena as the professionals they are facing.
